Personal Projects
Have a look at something really personal
Game design has been my greatest passion since the beginning of my career.
The constant process I personally follow to improve my skills consists of two parallel paths:
-
The constant study of the videogame world, from AAA games to the Indie ones, from the oldest to the newest, from the most brilliant mechanics to the less working ones.
-
The conception and development of personal projects to create the most solid and groundbreaking mechanics.
Level design is also one of my greatest passions. It is not only a fundamental element to create a solid videogame, but I deeply believe that a great level design can even fix the critical aspects of a more fragile game design.
StatueTest
Trying to go further in the virtual reality field
StatueTest represents the most ambitious project I have ever made in terms of game and level design. It was born as a way to create something completely original and different from all the other VR games existing at that time. In StatueTest, the player is forced to play under few but specific rules, that determine the core design of the game.
However, the most interesting part is its level design. In fact, StatueTest is a VR puzzle game whose levels have a great importance for the success of the project. I have made its level design specifically to support all the game mechanics at their best and to valorize the game design itself.

StatueTest Gameplay
Down here you can watch the gameplay of StatueTest.
Here, the player solves many puzzles taking advantage of their abilities:
-
The possibility to teleport perpendicularly on every white surface
-
The possibility to create a clone after the teleportation, that keeps the same pose that the player had before teleporting

You can also download a step by step description of the gameplay.

Courage
A touching story between a son and his beloved mother
Courage was born as the final exam for the university module of level design and level building. The request was to create a new game with one single level.
The entire development process was carried out by me, from the initial documentation to the final practical details.
Here you can download the level design document of this project.

March!
A game born to expand the possibilities
March! was conceived as a group project to give more possibilities of entertainment to the children with physical limitations. Born in collaboration with Lifelites, the game is characterized by the possibility of being played with one single input. I have personally worked on the design of the game and as solo-level designer. Here you can download the personal work register.
